Little Tots Village & Cafe: Falkirk’s New Kids Emporium

Falkirk’s new kids emporium celebrates two successful months as Little Tots Village and Café thrives alongside Little Miss Glam.

A brand new family attraction in Falkirk town centre is celebrating its first two months of success following the launch of Little Tots Village, an imaginative indoor play experience designed for young children and their families.

Opened on 7th March by Falkirk Council Leader Cllr Cecil Meiklejohn, the venue has quickly established itself as a unique kids emporium all under one roof where families can play, pamper, party, shop and dine together.

The concept was created by local business owner and our magazine publisher Caroline Robertson, whose vision was to bring together multiple family focused experiences into one vibrant destination. Alongside her business partner Jim Hillhouse, the pair jointly own both Piccolina Children’s Wear and Little Miss Glam, Falkirk’s original pamper party experience, previously based on Lint Riggs.

Both Little Miss Glam and the newly launched Little Tots Village and Café are strong, growing businesses in their own right, now brought together under one roof to create a unique offering for families.

Following three years of success with Little Miss Glam, Caroline recognised a gap in the market, a space where parents could relax while their children enjoyed pamper experiences. This idea helped shape the wider vision for Little Tots Village and the addition of a family friendly café.

Little Tots Village has been carefully designed as an interactive role play environment where young children can explore imaginative mini shops and creative play areas, encouraging learning through play while giving parents and carers a comfortable place to unwind.

The venue also includes a café serving paninis, bagels, children’s favourites, ice cream and light refreshments, creating a welcoming environment for families to spend quality time together in the heart of Falkirk town centre.

The project represented a significant investment, with Caroline leading a full renovation of the premises in under eight weeks to bring the vision to life.

Caroline Robertson said:

“Opening Little Tots Village has been an incredible journey, and looking back now after two months, Jim and I are so proud of what we’ve achieved. The feedback and support from families has been amazing, and our customers have played a huge part in our success.

Both Little Miss Glam and Little Tots Village are strong businesses, and bringing everything together under one roof has allowed us to create something really special for families, families are the heart of our business.

The renovation itself was a huge challenge. We set ourselves an eight week turnaround and managed to completely transform the space in that time, despite plenty of obstacles along the way it still feels surreal.

I want to say a massive thank you to all of the contractors and suppliers, Elaine and her team at Falkirk Delivers and Falkirk Council who helped make it happen, and most importantly to our amazing staff, who are absolutely crucial to everything we do, as well as our customers for their continued support.”

From the very beginning, the aim was to create a true kids emporium, a space where families can come to play, enjoy pamper experiences, celebrate parties, shop and relax with food and drinks all in one place. Most importantly, it’s a safe, welcoming environment where little ones can have fun and families can spend quality time together. We’re open seven days a week to work around busy family life.

Little Tots Village was six months in the planning, with a strong focus on creating a safe and high quality environment for children. The space has had a full refurbishment, professionally fitted with safety flooring and fencing, while all equipment is quality approved, rush assessed and thoroughly cleaned between sessions.

Accessible facilities are also available, including baby changing and nappy disposal units, ensuring the venue is comfortable and convenient for visiting families.

Open daily from 9.15am to 5pm, the attraction offers flexibility for families visiting between school runs, during the working day, or simply looking for a welcoming place to spend time together.

Elaine Grant, Manager of Falkirk Delivers, said:

“It’s fantastic to see another creative business investing in Falkirk town centre. Experiences like this help bring families into the high street and give people new reasons to visit, spend time here and support local businesses.”

With imaginative play, children’s party experiences and a welcoming café all under one roof, Little Tots Village has quickly become a go-to destination for families visiting Falkirk town centre.
